Do now
- Set a timer.
- Attempt the problem. Stop at the attempt line.
- Then read.
One numbered day. One sitting. 30–40 minutes. Stop at 40 even mid-sentence.
Lesson day
- Read the time box and the problem only.
- Stop at Attempt before reading. Work on paper. Do not scroll.
- Then read requirements, design, diagrams, trade-offs, and talking points.
- Close the page and redraw the picture, or restate the hour out loud.
- If you want to keep the day, answer the design-log question in private notes. Not on this site.
Mock day
A timer, a blank page, and no notes from that week. Score yourself with the rubric on the page. Write the log entry from your attempt. Only then read the reference under the attempt barrier.
Day 7 is that mock for Phase 1. Day 28 is the mock for Phase 2, and it is not the pastebin. Day 49 is the mock for Phase 3, and it is not that week’s schema, index, or retention lesson. If you already scrolled past a barrier, close the page and run it tomorrow from memory.
Debrief day
Days 87 and 89. Open your prior mock log only. Re-score, rewrite one weak section, then read. Do not turn a debrief into a second product design.
What not to do
- Do not treat the curriculum as today’s lesson. It is the map. Days 1–90 are written.
- Do not keep a second copy of a problem “so you have it.” The problem page on this site is the card. The folder is still named
prompts/. - Do not wait for the kit. Days you can run now do not need it. The kit is a separate product.
